The short answer: SEO from €600 per month
An SEO plan starts from €600 per month with us. That is the honest, short answer. What your plan will actually cost depends on your starting position, your market and your ambitions. That is why we do not sell standard packages, but build a tailored proposal after a free growth call.
We state that starting price deliberately. Many agencies keep their rates vague until you are deep into a sales process. We believe you should know upfront what you are getting into. From €600 per month we work on technology, content and authority: the three pillars that together determine whether you get found in Google for the long run.
One thing you should know: SEO is an ongoing process, not a one-off job. Google evaluates your website continuously and your competitors are not standing still either. A realistic engagement therefore runs for several months at minimum. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a sprint where a marathon is needed.
Why does SEO have no fixed price?
SEO has no fixed price because no two starting positions are the same. A local hairdresser with a healthy website needs something completely different from a webshop that wants to compete nationwide. The amount and type of work differ per situation, and so does the investment.
Compare it to renovating a house. A good contractor only quotes a serious price after seeing the foundation, the state of the building and your wishes. Anyone who names a fixed amount without an inspection is guessing. Or worse: charging a standard price for work your situation does not need at all.
That is why we are critical of ready-made SEO packages with one fixed price for everyone. They ignore your starting point, your competition and your goals. The result: you pay for tasks on a checklist instead of for work that actually moves your visibility forward. An honest answer to the cost question always starts with an analysis of your situation.

Which factors determine what SEO costs?
Four factors determine the bulk of your SEO investment: the size and technical condition of your website, the competition in your market, your content needs and your geographic ambition. The bigger the challenge on each of these fronts, the more specialist hours are required and the higher the monthly budget will be.
Size and technical condition of your website
A compact website with healthy technology needs less work than a large site with slow load times, broken links and a messy structure. On a technically neglected site, the first period goes mostly into the foundation. That is not a luxury but a necessity: building content on shaky technical ground delivers very little.
Competition in your market
If you want to be found for search terms that many parties are fighting over, more and better work is needed to get in between them. Local search terms are often within reach sooner than national ones. Your market therefore partly determines both the realistic pace of results and the effort required to get there.
Content needs
Content is often the largest cost item within SEO. If you already have strong service pages and a well-stocked blog, we can optimise what is there. If that content is missing, it has to be written: thoughtfully, based on keyword research and in your tone of voice. That takes time from people who know the craft.
Geographic ambition
Becoming visible in Tilburg and the surrounding region requires a different approach than conquering the whole of the Netherlands. Local SEO leans on your Google Business Profile, reviews and regional findability. National ambitions require broader content and more authority building. The larger your service area, the larger the matching investment.
What do you get for your monthly budget?
For your monthly budget, a serious agency delivers a combination of technical work, content and authority building, plus clear reporting. No loose tricks, but coherent work on the pillars Google uses to evaluate your website.
In practice that means: technical improvements such as speed and structure, new or improved pages based on keyword research, and strengthening your authority with relevant mentions, among other things. On top of that comes periodic reporting that shows what has been done and how your visibility is developing, for example based on Google Search Console.
With every proposal, ask how the hours are divided. An agency that spends most of its time on meetings and reports has little left for the actual work. With us, the majority of the budget goes into execution, and the reporting shows exactly what happened that month and why.
How do you recognise a fair SEO proposal?
A fair SEO proposal describes your starting position, spells out concretely what work will be done and attaches a realistic timeline to it. It promises effort and direction, not guaranteed positions. Anyone who guarantees the number one spot in Google is promising something nobody can deliver.
When comparing proposals, check these points: does it state what exactly happens each month? Is it clear who writes the content and who adjusts the technology? Is reporting based on numbers you can verify yourself? And can you adjust course along the way, or are you locked into a long contract without evaluation moments?
Also pay attention to what is missing. A proposal without an analysis of your current situation is a template with your logo on it. And a price without an explanation of how the hours are spent makes comparison impossible. Keep asking: a good agency is happy to explain its choices, because those choices are exactly what you are paying for.
Why SEO that is too cheap ends up expensive
SEO that is too cheap ultimately costs you more than it delivers. For a few tenners a month, nobody can seriously work on technology, content and authority. What you get instead: automated reports, thin texts or, in the worst case, techniques that Google actively penalises your website for.
The damage from bad SEO does not disappear by itself either. Cleaning up spammy links, rewriting thin content and regaining Google's trust costs time and money. So you pay twice: first for the cheap engagement, then for the repair. That is the most expensive route to visibility there is.
Our rule of thumb: choose a budget you can sustain for at least six to twelve months, with an agency that shows where the hours go. Better a modest plan executed consistently than a big package that grinds to a halt after three months because it was never sustainable.
| Cheap SEO | Serious SEO programme | |
|---|---|---|
| Research | Generic keyword list | Custom research per market and region |
| Content | Bulk production without editing | Written per page for search intent |
| Technical | Left untouched | Structural maintenance and monitoring |
| Link profile | Bought links with risk | Earned mentions and partnerships |
| Reporting | Position list without context | Revenue-focused with concrete next steps |
What does doing nothing cost?
Doing nothing has a price too, you just never see it on an invoice. Every month that your competitors do work on their visibility, their head start grows in Google and in AI search engines. Customers who cannot find you simply knock on someone else's door.
Catching up also gets more expensive the longer you wait. Authority is built with time and consistency; you cannot buy it back later with a bigger budget. Whoever starts a modest plan now will be in a better position a year from now than whoever plans to start big in a year.
If you also want to become visible in AI answers, such as Google AI Overviews, that is possible with a GEO plan, starting from €1,500 per month with us. For most SMEs, however, a solid SEO foundation is the logical first step: the same substance that convinces Google also forms the foundation for AI visibility.
